Infographics and Signs
One of my favorite recent projects was the collaborative re-design of Kennedy Creek Salmon Trail signage, focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Working alongside the Squaxin Island Tribe, Washington Department of Natural Resources, and local educators, our goal was to honor the fish, land, and its people. In this project, my primary responsibilities included leading content creation, facilitating equitable participation, and balancing budget and timeline constraints. Leveraging my background in fisheries and ecosystems research, I contributed significantly to content writing and collaboration with the tribal artist, Taylor Wily Krise. These finished examples are only included here as part of a portfolio of my graphic design/sign creation work. No portion of the artwork may be used or recreated as Taylor retains copyright of the artwork portion of the signs.
Here is an example of an event flyer I created, by re-purposing/re-working some of this artwork (with permission granted to our work team) so that it would work with the new ratios and partner requests.
Additionally, my skills in data analysis and visualization in RStudio, enhanced by graphic design proficiency, were pivotal in creating informative graphs and a 2 comprehensive salmon viewing opportunities infographics for the South Puget Sound and Hood Canal region. You can see a full write-up and an interactive Google map with individual graphs on my other website, SeaWolf Fishing.
